STARBASE Indiana-Fort Wayne was founded at the 122nd Fighter Wing, Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base, Indiana by Col David Augustine (Ret). We welcomed our first class on February 14, 2012, and have been proudly serving the teachers and youth of Northeast Indiana ever since. The 122nd Fighter Wing flies the A-10 Thunderbolt II out of the Air National Guard Base in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

DoD STARBASE Indiana - Fort Wayne is proud to offer four separate weeks of 4-day camps for incoming 5th through incoming 8th graders. Our STEAM camps this year will be the following options:

MARS COLONY 4-day Camps:

June 6th-9th or

June 13th-16th

STARBASE's Mars Colony camp is designed for students who enjoy board games and would love to take part in an intense board game experience over the course of four days. Our Mars Colony camp is designed to have students work in small teams to simulate the assembly and operation of a permanent colony on Mars. Students will get to put their imagination to work in designing their Mars base, launching the pieces, guiding them to the correct location, and landing them safely on the surface of the planet in an intense board game-like experience. Campers will participate in real world challenges that will have direct impact upon events within the game. This camp is truly out of this world.

TRADITIONAL 4-day Camps:

June 20th-23rd or

June 27th-30th

Traditional camps will be a community collaboration featuring STARBASE STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Careers. Get ready to learn alongside our community professionals as we explore, explain, elaborate and evaluate careers in a fun hands-on environment. Traditional week takes place in 4 different locations during your summer week of learning and fun. All location details coming soon, and we're excited to welcome back: Parkview Field home of the Fort Wayne TinCaps, Indiana Tech, Sweet Aviation & Young Eagles camp flights, and Manchester University School of Pharmacy. We'll explore the world of STEAM careers from all angles – in-flight on-board Cessna's, in the pitch of a baseball, and through the lens of a pharmacist. Detailed instructions for all locations will be sent to accepted campers.

The registration link below will go live at 8am on Monday, March 7th and close at 2pm on Friday, March 11th:

Please note that due to limited space that registering for a camp does not guarantee a spot in our camps, and that we will still be processing the registrations on first come, first served basis.

Thank you very much and we look forward to another year of STARBASE STEAM Camps!
