STARBASE Indiana-Fort Wayne was founded at the 122nd Fighter Wing, Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base, Indiana by Col David Augustine (Ret). We welcomed our first class on February 14, 2012, and have been proudly serving the teachers and youth of Northeast Indiana ever since. The 122nd Fighter Wing flies the A-10 Thunderbolt II out of the Air National Guard Base in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Due to the overwhelming response to our pre-registration for those who were accepted into summer camps last year (but did not get to attend due to Covid-19), we only have a very limited number of spots available for our summer STEAM camps. We will be filling the remaining spots with those who register on a first come, first served basis when we open the registration link below on Monday, March 8th at 8am. We expect the spots to go quickly, so make sure you sign up right away! Those who are not accepted into a camp spot will be placed on a waitlist in the order that you register.

We will be offering four separate weeks of 4-day camps for incoming 5th through incoming 8th graders. Our STEAM camps this year will be the following options:

ROBOT RESCUE 4-day Camps:

June 7th-10th (WAITLIST ONLY) or

June 14th-17th (WAITLIST ONLY)

STARBASE's Robot Rescue camp is an intense learning experience where students get to solve two design challenges using modular robotics kits, PTC Creo engineering software, and a desktop 3D printer. Students will design, engineer, create and problem solve as they get ready for their final challenges to rescue their robots!

MARS COLONY 4-day Camps:

June 21st-24th or

June 28th-July 1st

STARBASE's Mars Colony camp is designed for students who enjoy board games and would love to take part in an intense board game experience over the course of four days. Our Mars Colony camp is designed to have students work in small teams to simulate the assembly and operation of a permanent colony on Mars. Students will get to put their imagination to work in designing their Mars base, launching the pieces, guiding them to the correct location, and landing them safely on the surface of the planet in an intense board game-like experience. Campers will participate in real world challenges that will have direct impact upon events within the game. This camp is truly out of this world.

The registration link below will go live at 8am on Monday, March 8th and close at 2pm on Tuesday, March 9th:

Please note that due to our reduced numbers that registering for a camp does not guarantee a spot in our camps, and that we will still be processing the registrations on first come, first served basis.

Thank you very much and we look forward to another year of STARBASE STEAM Camps!
