STARBASE Indiana-Indianapolis is located at Stout Army Air Field which serves as the Joint Forces Headquarters of the Indiana National Guard. Cold Spring School students and officials cut a red ribbon to officially open the STARBASE Indianapolis campus, Friday, Feb. 20, 2015.
Stout Field was built in the 1920s by the city of Indianapolis as a municipal airport & a home for the Indiana National Guard, and now serves as the Joint Forces Headquarters of the Indiana National Guard.
MEET THE TEAM
BRANDE “BUBBLES” MORGAN
Brande Morgan grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She attended St. Vincent De Paul Elementary and North Side High School. After high school, she joined the Air Force and was stationed at Charleston AFB, South Carolina for four years. Brande earned her Bachelors of Science in Education from IPFW allowing her to teach middle school math and science. While attending IPFW she worked with the First Lego League as a teamwork judge. She is currently serving in the Air National Guard in Fort Wayne in the Services Field. In addition to teaching 5th graders at STARBASE, Brande previously coordinated the STARBASE 2.0 after school program for 6th-8th grades. Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Urban League partnered with STARBASE to make the afterschool program a reality. In 2014, Brande accepted the position of Deputy Director down in Indianapolis. She has two daughters, Haley and Mackenzie and they are all adjusting well to the Indianapolis scene. She looks forward to the new challenges that this position will offer!
